Why a salad is good for your diet

As you try and lose weight, consider eating more salads than any other type of food. The reason being, lettuce has less calories than it takes to burn. That's correct, it takes more calories to chew and digest than it gives out.

The only reason why salads fail as diet food is the high calorie dressing, bacon and other added foods that are in it. The best thing to do is just have a salad with a vinaigrette dressing. Stay away from creamy, fat filled dressings.
